\nbranches, woodland owls and tartan plaid reindeer, an ornate Hanukkah menorah display, gorgeous
\ngarlands draped upon the mantel, and the scent of white cedar crackling in the fireplace filling the air.
\nThe Bahia and Catamaran resorts get into the holiday spirit with whimsical Gingerbread House Displays
\nin their lobbies, created by the resorts\u2019 team members. Guests are invited to vote for their favorites. The
\nCatamaran puts its own spin on classic gingerbread houses with decorated Hula Huts, reflecting the
\nresort\u2019s island vibe which includes a Polynesian-style Christmas tree in the lobby adorned with parrots,
\ntikis, and tropical flower leis.
\nThe Bahia brings a touch of nostalgia and whimsy to its lobby with midcentury holiday d\u00e9cor \u2013 sure to
\nbring out your inner child \u2013 including a retro-style TV set, vintage 1950s aluminum Christmas tree, and a
\nleg lamp from the cult classic holiday movie, \u201cA Christmas Story.\u201d
\nMerry & Bright on the Bay
\nGather with friends and family \u2013 and Santa Claus! \u2013 aboard the majestic William D. Evans sternwheeler
\nfor Jingle Belle Family Cruises, a San Diego tradition on the sparkling waters of Mission Bay. Guests can
\nenjoy joyful carolers, photos with Santa, cookie decorating, a balloon artist, face painter, and tasty
\nholiday treats and libations including hot cocoa and an espresso coffee bar. Cruises depart from the
\nBahia and Catamaran resorts, December 21-25. Reservations are required. The cost is $45 per person,
\nwith a portion of the proceeds benefitting Mama\u2019s Kitchen, a San Diego nonprofit that provides
\nmedically tailored meals to individuals and families at risk of malnutrition due to critical illnesses. As a
\nspecial treat for diners at the resorts, the Christmas Day cruise is included with the purchase of<\/p>\n
Christmas Day Brunch at Oceana Coastal Kitchen in the Catamaran Resort and Dockside 1953 in the
\nBahia Resort.
\nAnother cherished holiday tradition, the annual Parade of Lights returns to Mission Bay on December 9.
\nVisitors to the Catamaran Resort can cozy up bayside on the north lawn from 6 to 9 p.m. for a perfect
\nvantage point to view the dazzling boat parade, featuring dozens of vessels festooned with lights and
\ndecorations. This family friendly event also features holiday treats for sale such as cake pops and
\npeppermint bark, hot cocoa, and warm winter cocktails.
\nJoyful Tunes
\nBringing the jolly spirit of aloha to the shores of Mission Bay, the Catamaran Resort presents Polynesian
\nCarolers singing holiday favorites on Fridays and Saturdays (5-7 p.m.).
\nGuests at The Lodge at Torrey Pines can enjoy the sweet sounds of the Westminster Carolers,
\nDecember 7-9, 14-16, 21-23 (5-8 p.m.) while sipping hot apple cider and enjoying a slice of fruitcake.
\nAlso spreading holiday cheer at The Lodge will be a Sing Along with Santa and Mrs. Claus on December

\nSanta Claus journeys from the North Pole to the Catamaran Resort on Saturdays (3-5 p.m.) through
\nDecember, to meet younger guests and hear their holiday wishes \u2013 a perfect photo op to snap holiday
\nfamily photos! Throughout the season, Santa\u2019s Letter Stations will be set up in the lobby of the
\nCatamaran and Bahia resorts and The Lodge at Torrey Pines, complete with a festive oversized mailbox,
\nso children can send Santa their wish lists and good deeds for the year.
\nKids\u2019 Stuff
\nChildren can tap into their creative side with Holiday Arts and Crafts at The Lodge at Torrey Pines on
\nDecember 21 and 28 (4 and 5 p.m.). Reservations are required.
\nAll month long in December, kids at the Bahia Resort can join an Elf on a Shelf Scavenger Hunt, a
\nseasonal twist on hide and seek. Find the magical elf and win a prize!
\nOn select Saturdays (3-4 p.m.) through December, kids \u2013 and moms and dads \u2013 can take part in
\nGingerbread House Decorating at Oceana Coastal Kitchen in the Catamaran Resort. The cost is $10;
\nreservations are required through the restaurant.
\nFestive Flicks
\nOn Saturdays (7 p.m.) throughout the month of December, guests at the Bahia Resort are invited to
\nsnuggle up outside the Residents\u2019 Lounge for a complimentary Holiday Movie Night and catch a holiday
\nflick the whole family will love.
\nHoliday Feasts and Treats
\nA sweet welcome awaits visitors to the Bahia and Catamaran resorts and The Lodge at Torrey Pines.
\nThroughout December at the Catamaran (Fridays and Saturdays, 3-5 p.m.) and Bahia (Friday through<\/p>\n
Sunday, 2:30-5 p.m.) guests can sip and savor complimentary hot cocoa, warm apple cider, and holiday
\ncookies. The Lodge also offers freshly baked holiday cookies at check-in, along with its Taste of the

\nwith a featured winery, distillery or brewery. The holiday Sip and Savor will feature varietals by Grgich
\nHills Winery complementing a curated menu of scallop crudo, pan-roasted salmon, braised beef cheek,

\nFun for the whole family with sprinkles on top, The Lodge offers Holiday Cookie Decorating, a
\nscrumptious holiday tradition, on November 24, December 22 and 29 (4 and 5 p.m.). Guests of all ages
\ncan also satisfy their sweet tooth with S\u2019mores at Hughes Cottage on November 25, December 23 and
\n30 (4 and 5 p.m.). Both events are complimentary; reservations are required.
\nGather with family and friends for lavish holiday feasts at all three properties. The Bahia and Catamaran
