Bridgerton, the smash-hit period drama taking over screens earlier this year, filled with high society and high hair, offers plenty of worthy costume choices like the Queen here for Halloween. And for the perfect cocktail match, look no further than the decadent ‘Holiday Pear Social’ cocktail, which is literally crowned with holiday-esque adornments like dried pear and mint and elegant notes of St-Germain elderflower liqueur. With this fruity, sparkling cocktail in your gloved hand, the queen (that’s you!) shall never be wrong.
Cosmicpolitan –perfect for pop culture queen outfits (i.e. SATC or Kim Kardashian @ SNL)
Ingredients: Vodka, Combier Orange Liquer, Lime, & Passionfruit
Method : Chill and pour straight from the Party Can!
In the words of Carrie Bradshaw, ‘I’d like a cheeseburger, fries, and a Cosm[ic]pilitan!’ There’s no doubt that the Cosmo is a beloved staple of Sex and the City, and that the show forever put the cocktail on the map! In honor of SATC’s new show debut this December, we’re predicting some of the Carrie’s favorite looks circulating the Halloween party circuit this year in anticipation – so what better way to match than in her pink ensemble here.
Or, do Kim Kardashian proud and imitate her monologue AND form-fitting hot pink velvet leotard from her recent hit Saturday Night Live hosting experience. A flamboyant look that pairs perfectly colorwise with Party Can’s Cosmicpolitan, which offers 12 full-size cocktails per can (thus perfect for Halloween gatherings), with premium, all-natural ingredients to boot.
Trapazinno’s ‘Fig Negroni’ – Emma Stone in Cruella
1 oz Gin
1 oz Bitter Liqueur
1 oz Fig-Infused Rosso
2 dashes fig bitters
Method: Build all ingredients in a rock glass over a large ice cube, garnish with an orange twist, and enjoy!
Those who say negronis are simple are probably the same people who think Cruella is actually the bad guy; they simply misunderstand the classics! Not only does this delicious fig-infused negroni from Trapazzino’s in New York break the mold of the timeless bar favorite, but it also boasts a beautiful ruby red hue, a ‘spot-on’ drink to star alongside this show stopping red number worn by Emma Stone, for anyone who wants to honor the bold villainess from this year’s live-action 101 Disney hit!
The Ghostface – Scream’s Ghostface
2 oz. Aged Rum
¾ oz. Aquavit
¾ oz. White Wine
2 dashes Chocolate and Cinnamon Bitters
Method: Stir to combine. Pour into a cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
What’s your favorite scary cocktail? One of ours would have to be The Ghostface! Appropriately titled for its unexpectedly haunting, yet delicious, twists of white wine, dark, rum and chocolate/cinnamon bitter, The Ghostface could not be more perfect to showcase alongside your Scream-inspired costume, whether you are the iconic Drew Barrymore, another helpless teen, or Ghostface himself! Also, if you notice someone has stolen this delicious cocktail from your grasps – remember, it is always someone you know!
Gold Rush Old Fashioned – pair with your favorite neutral toned celeb look, or wild west/horse themed attire
Ingredients: Bourbon, Lemon, Black Tea, Chamomile Tea, Natural Herbs, Aromatic Bitters
Method: Chill and pour straight from the Party Can!
With the return to in-person award shows this year, we were bound to get some striking, costume-worthy looks. From Megan Fox’s barely-there, nude Mugler piece to Billie Eillish’s lavish Oscar De La Renta beige tulle gown or Kim Petras’ horsehead Met Gala look, there was nothing old fashioned about this year’s golden gowns – like Party Can’s Gold Rush Old Fashioned, a twist on the age-old classic that features real Kentucky bourbon, fresh lemon juice, natural herbs, bitters, and black and chamomile tea. After taking a sip of this liquid beauty from the world’s first large canned cocktail line, even the wild horses won’t be able to drag you away (we’re talking to you, Kim Petras!).
Bemelmans Bar’s ‘Elaine’s Smoky Martini’ – Harry Styles (or Prince Harry)
2 ½ oz Gin
½ oz Lagavulin 16 whisky
½ oz Noilly Prat Vermouth
Lemon peel garnish
Method: Add ingredients into a cocktail shaker over ice, stir and then strain into a martini glass. Finish with the essence of a lemon peel twist & then garnish with that lemon peel!
Harry Styles is perhaps the style icon of 2021, adored for his boundary pushing stylistic touches seen on the red carpet this year. Just like Harry’s new take on tradition here with his purple feather boa adorning a plaid suit set, we say Elaine’s Smoky Martini from Bemelmans Bar would be the top accompanying cocktail choice here for a Harry look – given its addition of whisky to the traditional martini, which adds oomph and a novel twist on the cocktail classic (and, another famous Harry from the UK, aka Prince Harry, was recently spotted drinking these exact martinis on his last NYC visit alongside Megan Markle).
