- Hidden Beach in Incline Village
- Hidden Beach is located on Hwy 28 and features 750 feet of rocky alcoves and an adjacent boulder shoreline. Visitors should keep in mind that parking is highway parking 1-mile north near Incline Village and has limited availability. Those looking to view the sunset here should expect to arrive early for a good spot.
- Donner Summit in Incline Village
- Donner Summit, which was named for the Donner Party found the route blocked by snow in November 1946 and was forced to spend the winter on the east side of the mountains. With its unique history, Donner Pass today feels quaint with small general stores, knick-knack shops, motels, hiking trails, and perfect sunset views.
- Moon Dunes Beach in Tahoe Vista
- With the finest white sand beach in Lake Tahoe, Moon Dunes Beach is a gorgeous sunset viewing location for all. Those who visit Moon Dunes should note that this beach has no developed facilities or garbage services, so visitors should plan to bring their own trash bags to collect their garbage.
Panoramic Sunset Views: One of the best areas to view a panoramic view of a Lake Tahoe sunset is at Tunnel Creek Trail – also home to Monkey Rock. The Tunnel Creek Trail is a 4.7-mile-out-and-back hike located near Incline Village. I recommend packing a picnic and enjoying a nice sunset meal at the top (remember to bring trash bags to clean up)!
Live Entertainment During Golden Hour: One of Tahoe’s greatest treasures is its summerlong live music experiences. Visitors can enjoy outdoor concerts from the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, Bluesdays Tuesdays, and the popular SunSets live music series which happens every Friday. - Hetch Hetchy Reservoir is a 5-mile round trip hike in Yosemite National Park and does not require a reservation. It is truly a beautiful sight to see – photo attached. It makes for a perfect sunset viewing experience for all who are visiting.
